11 Days of The Body Shop Advent Calendar | Vlogmas Day 12

Tuesday, 12 December 2017

For the past few years I have wanted a Body Shop advent calendar but I could never justify spending £50 and more on one. This year I was lucky enough to finally get one from my parents, as soon as I received it I began counting down the days until December 1st. As much as I hate waking up early, having this to open every morning makes it a little bit more bearable. I love seeing what people get in their advent calendars, so I thought I'd share the first 11 days of The Body Shop 25 days deluxe advent calendar! They are also running a campaign fighting animal testing, which is incredible and something I am also passionate about! The Body Shop is definitely becoming my favourite brand and it being 100% cruelty free is amazing.

Not only does it have incredible gifts inside, each day has a feel-good action on it to complete! Each day also has a trivia question and the answer on it, so on Christmas Day if you're a bit bored it transforms into a quiz. The calendar cost £65, I thought I'd try and include prices for each of the items if I can find them.
Day 1: mini British rose shower gel (£2)
Day 2: bunny headband (£4)
Day 3: frosted plum star soap £1.50

I was incredibly excited when I opened day 2 and the bunny headband was in there. I saw The Body Shop post about it on their Instagram and it never occurred to me to actually buy it, it being in the advent calendar was a huge surprise. I have only just found out, while googling the prices for the products, that scent of the soap is frosted plum! I wondered why it smelt so amazing.

Day 4: strawberry gel lotion (£2?)
Day 5: white loofah
Day 6: black eye definer (£8)

I think we can all agree that the strawberry scent is one of the best Body Shop scents. It is so sweet but not overpoweringly so. I was a little gutted when I opened day 5 to find a loofah in it but I will be able to take it to Liverpool with me this weekend and get some use out of it. I only really use eyeliner to tight line my top waterline and I struggle to find a pigmented one but this one works perfectly!
Day 7: born lippy pot lip balm passionberry (£2.50)
Day 8: mango soap (£2)
Day 9: red siren lip definer (£8)

I had been needing to buy a new lip balm for a while, so this couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Plus it smells amazing! I do normally have my nails done, so putting it on my lips can prove to be quite difficult but I'm going to a buy a lip brush to tackle that problem. I don't tend to use bar of soaps, as I normally just end up dropping them while I'm in the shower but I certainly won't be wasting this soap. Christmas is the perfect time to sport a red lip and this lip liner is going to come in extremely handy.

Day 10: born lippy pot lip balm shea butter (£2.50)
Day 11: mini frosted berries shower gel

I am obsessed with The Body Shop's Christmas scents and frosted berries smells incredible! I was so happy to open day 11 to a mini shower gel in this scent.

What advent calendar do you have this year?
