Belle Winter Outfit Disneybound With Courage and Kindness | Blogmas Day 15

Friday, 15 December 2017

Doing this post is definitely out of my comfort zone and I've been quite nervous to post it. When I did my Marie Disneybound back in June I took those photos at Disneyland, so I felt it was more "normal" for me to be doing a blog post on that outfit because I was wearing that outfit out. However, I took these pictures in my back garden with my dad's help. I hate having my picture taken unless I'm at Disney and I know that may seem ridiculous but Disney is like a comfort blanket for me. I am so glad Hannah suggested we do this because it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone! Plus, I have wanted to explore Disneybounding a lot more since bounding as Marie. Hannah is one of my favourite bloggers and it has been amazing speaking and getting to know her, I am really excited to be collaborating with her!

How to Make A Mickey Mouse Pom-Pom Bauble | Blogmas Day 14

Thursday, 14 December 2017

During blogmas I knew I wanted to do a DIY Disney bauble post but I also wanted it be as inexpensive as possible. After racking my brain for a while and thinking about something that would be fairly easy to make, I thought of pom-poms. I haven't made pom-poms for such a long time and I thought making a Mickey Mouse inspired bauble out of them would look adorable. These are super easy to make and would make a lovely little stocking filler for someone! You could also use coloured wool to match the theme of your tree.

What you will need:
Wool
Scissors
Cardboard to make the pom-pom maker
A pen
Two circle templates, a glass and a coin will do!

Japanese Disney Store Ariel Wishlist | Blogmas Day 13

Wednesday, 13 December 2017

It is no secret that Japan has the best Disney merchandise and I already know that I'm going to end up buying far too much during my trip. I thought I'd start a new wishlist series on my blog, where I create a wishlist for each of my favourite characters. There is way too much stuff I lust over on the Japanese Disney Store's website to put into one post and categorising it into characters makes it a lot easier! The Ariel merchandise has a pink theme in Japan and it is so perfect. They typically draw her and the other princesses in more of a chibi style, which is adorable and makes everything stand out a lot more.

11 Days of The Body Shop Advent Calendar | Vlogmas Day 12

Tuesday, 12 December 2017

For the past few years I have wanted a Body Shop advent calendar but I could never justify spending £50 and more on one. This year I was lucky enough to finally get one from my parents, as soon as I received it I began counting down the days until December 1st. As much as I hate waking up early, having this to open every morning makes it a little bit more bearable. I love seeing what people get in their advent calendars, so I thought I'd share the first 11 days of The Body Shop 25 days deluxe advent calendar! They are also running a campaign fighting animal testing, which is incredible and something I am also passionate about! The Body Shop is definitely becoming my favourite brand and it being 100% cruelty free is amazing.

My Favourite Disney Instagrammers | Blogmas Day 11

Monday, 11 December 2017

Since blogging I have been privileged to meet some amazing people, those who are also fellow Disney fans. I love being able to see the incredible pictures Disney bloggers and Instagrammers post becayse people are able to capture the magic of Disney in so many different ways. I thought I'd share 10 of my favourite Disney Instgrammers on my blog today and if you aren't already following all of them, I highly suggest doing so! It was extremely hard to whittle it down to just 10 but this list would have been far too long otherwise. I also follow so many amazing people on Instagram but these are the accounts that most predominantly Disney pictures.

A Christmas Trip to Prague | Blogmas Day 10

Sunday, 10 December 2017

Last December I went to Prague with my boyfriend for a couple of days to kick start the Christmas season, it had been a dream of mine to go for a while. I never did write a blog post on our trip and I know it has been over a year since we went but I still want to share some pictures and briefly talk about what me and my boyfriend did while we were there. We went during the first weekend of December, so it was an incredible way to get into the Christmas spirit. If you are looking to go to Prague around this time of year, make sure you wrap up warm. It was absolutely freezing.

How To Make Your Own Mickey Mouse Inspired Wreath With Sam | Blogmas Day 9

Saturday, 9 December 2017

I really enjoy doing craft related posts and I had so much fun creating this wreath. I can't take the credit for it though as it was Sam, The Belle Jar Blog, who came up with the idea of doing a Mickey Mouse wreath! This is my first collaboration post this another blogger, I am so excited that I got to do it with Sam! We're excited to share our creations with you. It turned out a lot better than I was expecting it to and I am so pleased with it. My Current Cruelty Free Beauty Favourites | Blogmas Day 8

Friday, 8 December 2017

With the arrival of the cold weather my skin tends to go quite dry but I normally have oily skin. Trying to find products that agree with my skin can be difficult! My usual go to make up look is very pink orientated but with the holidays approaching I've started trying out more orange and nude based looks. These are the products that I am going to be using religiously throughout December.

Christmas Through the Years | Blogmas Day 7

Thursday, 7 December 2017

Looking back at old pictures is one of my favourite things to do. I used to hate how my dad would take pictures of everything, especially after I had just woken up on Christmas day but now I'm older I really enjoy looking at them. I had a browse through the pictures on my dad's laptop for pictures that were taken on Christmas Day throughout the years and I thought I'd share some of them! I also found some on my laptop that I had taken. I'm not too sure why I'm willingly putting these old pictures of me on the internet but here we are. I didn't think my brothers would appreciate me putting old pictures of them on my blog, so that's why they're not included. I hope you enjoy looking at these embarrassing photos from past Christmas's! The picture above is from 2004.

How to Make Your Own Disney Coasters | Blogmas Day 6

Wednesday, 6 December 2017

It's been a while I've done a DIY blog post and they are probably one of my favourite posts to do. I thought blogmas would be the perfect time to get creative, so I have been racking my brain to see what I could come up with. I still had my Disney calendar from last year and some old Disney books, so I I gave making coasters a go. They turned out better than I was expecting, so I thought I'd do a DIY post on how to make them! If you're struggling to come up with stocking filler ideas, this would be perfect.

What you will need:
Blank wooden coasters
Modpodge
A Disney image of your choice
Foam sponge brush

My Favourite Christmas Films | Blogmas Day 5

Tuesday, 5 December 2017

At Christmas there are films that I have to watch every single year, it is part of my tradition. There are some classic Christmas films that I am yet to watch, they are on the top of my list to watch! However, these are the films that I have to watch every December to help get me in the Christmas spirit!

My Family’s Christmas Traditions | Blogmas Day 3

Sunday, 3 December 2017

Over the years my family have acquired quite a few Christmas traditions, some we still do to this day and some we don't. I love the Christmas season because of the traditions we have upheld as a family and the new ones we create each year. I love reading about what other families do during the holiday's, so I thought I'd share some of mine!

The Christmas Season at Disneyland Paris | Blogmas Day 2

Saturday, 2 December 2017

Back in 2015 I finally visited Disneyland Paris during the Christmas season, this had been a dream of mine for a while and I couldn't wait to experience the park during the most wonderful time of the year. We had managed to get the trip for quite cheap, so it was no brainer about whether or not we should go. It was absolutely freezing and I have no idea why I wasn't expecting it to be so cold but it certainly added to the Christmassy atmosphere! I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite things I was able to experience during my Christmas trip back in 2015.

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year! | Blogmas Day 1

Friday, 1 December 2017

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't slowly been making my bedroom more festive since the beginning of November. I love hearing Christmas songs in the shops and seeing them put the decorations up straight after Halloween. Christmas really is the most magical time of the year and it definitely is my favourite holiday, everywhere always looks so beautiful. I am so excited to take part in blogmas this year, I know it is going to be a lot of work but it is something I have been wanting to do for the past couple of years but haven't been able to bring myself to do it. I was determined to do it this year! Writing a list of my blog posts ideas has really got me into the Christmas spirit, so I can't wait to share them all with you! Christmas for me this year is going to be slightly weird, as my twin brother will be in Japan for the holiday's and it will be our first family Christmas without him here. I know as you get older feeling festive might not come as easy to some, so I thought I'd share how I enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit!

A Weekend By The Sea

Friday, 10 November 2017

Last weekend I finally went back to one of my favourite places after six long years. Aberdovey in Wales is like a second home to me, I spent a lot of my childhood there and it holds so many amazing memories. It's a quaint little seaside town on the West Coast of Wales. You know when you feel like you just really need to be next to the sea? I'd felt like that for a while and I was so excited when my mom and dad booked this trip. Being by the seaside relaxes me and really helps me to take my mind off of everything I'm constantly worrying about, so I couldn't wait to smell the salty sea air again.

My Disney x Cath Kidston Mickey and Friends Wishlist

Tuesday, 7 November 2017

I haven't done a wishlist post for the previous Disney x Cath Kidston collections because in all honesty, there hasn't been much I have wanted. However, after having a look through the Mickey and Friends collection I have fallen in love with a couple of the pieces. I really enjoy reading other bloggers wishlist posts and it has been a while since I've done one, so what better way to make a wishlist comeback with the new Cath Kidston collection?

My Tokyo Disneyland Bucket List | Japan Trip 2018

Friday, 3 November 2017

During my last trip to Japan I visited both Disneyland and DisneySea, however next year we will only be paying a visit to Disneyland. As my boyfriend has never been to Disney before we decided that for his first visit he should go to the park that has a castle at the end of Mainstreet, in order for him to truly experience the magic of Disney. As there is nothing more magical than seeing the castle for the first time. I love DisneySea and I am gutted that I won't be going this trip but I am so excited to show Jake around a Disney Park for the first time and to finally experience Disney with him. I had considered park hopping but I don't want the day to feel rushed. Last time I went it was summer and the park was pretty busy, therefore I didn't get to ride the attractions I was hoping to. Here are some of the things on my bucket list for my upcoming trip to Tokyo Disneyland!

10 Things I Want to Experience at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom

Tuesday, 17 October 2017

I definitely didn't appreciate Animal Kingdom enough while I was there, I saw it as a half day park. I'm not too sure why Animal Kingdom didn't appeal to me before but I am certain I would absolutely love it now. From watching vlogs and seeing some of the incredible pictures people take, it has made me wish I'd spent more time there. Now I have some things I want to experience next time I visit, I can't wait to go back to this park.

Flights & Accommodation | Japan Trip 2018

Tuesday, 10 October 2017

Booking the flights and accommodation for our trip to Japan didn't actually take much planning, as we managed to find good deals pretty quickly. The only thing that took a bit of effort was trying to get some dates off of my brother, so we knew when would be a good time to visit him. This is my first holiday where I haven't booked everything as a package and I found that quite daunting but my mom and dad helped me out a lot! When my twin brother moved to Japan I knew that I'd regret it if I didn't go over and visit him while he's there but panic set in and I was worried I wouldn't be able to afford it. A trip to Japan certainly isn't cheap and if you're anything like me then you're going to want to buy absolutely everything while you're over there. So I am now currently saving for all of the Disney merchandise I am no doubt going to want to buy...

The Halloween Season at Disneyland Paris

Friday, 6 October 2017

Last October, almost exactly a year ago, I got to experience the Halloween season at Disneyland Paris for the second time. The first time was when I was 8 years old and got to see Halloween in full swing in the park, I actually remember parts of that trip quite vividly! I'll never forget walking through Disney village and hearing This is Halloween playing over the speakers, it was such a small but special moment for me. As the Halloween season has begun at Disneyland Paris, I thought I'd share some of my favourite things that I was able to experience during my trip last year.

My Ten Favourite Disney Songs

Tuesday, 3 October 2017

I'm always curious to know what people's favourite Disney songs are, it is one of my favourite Disney related topics to talk about! There are so many incredible soundtracks, so it definitely won't be easy to narrow it down to just ten. I have a Disney playlist on my Spotify which I listen to daily and it always instantly puts me in a better mood. There really is something incredibly uplifting about Disney songs!

10 Things I Want to Experience at Walt Disney World's Epcot

Tuesday, 26 September 2017

I absolutely fell in love with Epcot the first time went, the detail in each pavilion is beautiful and there is so much to experience. There are a fair few things that I'm hoping to experience one day throughout this park and as there is so much to do, I've only listed 10 things that I want to do throughout Epcot. The second time I went to Florida I had turned 18 three months before my trip and I was gutted I wouldn't be able to drink alcohol while I was there, I wanted to try all of the different alcoholic beverages this park has to offer! If you’re curious, Japan is my favourite pavilion.

Today is going to be a good day and here's why...

Tuesday, 19 September 2017

You are correct if you think the title of this blog post is from a Dear Evan Hansen song, a soundtrack that I have absolutely fallen in love with. Waking up every morning with the attitude that that day is going to be a good day is difficult, especially when you have to drag yourself out of bed to go to work. Obviously I wish I could wake up with that attitude every day but sometimes it just isn't possible. However, I thought I'd dedicate this blog post to things that are helping me wake up most mornings with a smile on my face because I think it is important to talk about things that make us happy.

Day Three | Disneyland Paris June Trip Report

Tuesday, 12 September 2017

After what felt like the shortest sleep of my life, it was time to kick start another magical day. We were out of the hotel by 10 and the first thing we wanted to do was meet Mickey and Minnie in their anniversary outfits, so we headed over to Disneyland Parc. Me and Alice stood in the queue for about 15 minutes and we must have only moved an inch. Even by half 10 the heat was starting to become a bit too much and we weren't sure how long the wait actually was. We could see Goofy was meeting opposite where we were and the queue was a lot shorter, so we made our way over there. Just as we got their Goofy left and they changed the sign to say Daisy would be meeting next, which I was so excited about as I had never met her before! We stood in the queue for quite a while but I think it was still shorter than the time we would have waited for Mickey and Minnie.

10 Things I Want to Experience at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios

Monday, 4 September 2017

Continuing on with my 10 things I want to experience at Walt Disney World posts, next up is Hollywood Studios. I love Hollywood Studios, Hollywood and the film world is something I am extremely interested in and I think this park truly captures the essence of both. During my visits to Disney World, Hollywood Studios was my second most visited park! I can see that changing during my next visit, as I am now old enough to drink around the world...

Day Two | Disneyland Paris June Trip Report

Tuesday, 29 August 2017

After a decent nights sleep, it was finally time for our first full day in the park. I got up ridiculously early to start getting ready and got everything together for my Marie Disneybound. We left the hotel and hopped on the shuttle for just after 10am, everywhere was surprisingly quieter than I had expected. After taking a few pictures of my Disneybound outside the park gates, we headed straight into the park and over to Adventureland to try and meet Peter Pan, as we knew Peter Pan and "friends" started meeting from 11:15am.

Japan Haul 2017

Tuesday, 22 August 2017

Last week my mom and dad returned from their trip to Japan where they were visiting my twin brother! On their travels they went to Tokyo and Sapporo, as Sapporo is where Joe is currently living. They came back with so many gifts for me, which I am so incredibly grateful for as I honestly was not expecting it. I know quite a few people are intrigued to see what Disney merchandise is like Japan, so I thought I'd do a haul of everything they brought back for me.
I'll add the prices if they're still on the items, so you can get an idea of how much Disney merchandise costs in Japan!

My Marie DisneyBound | Disneyland Paris June Trip

Wednesday, 28 June 2017

I had been thinking of putting together a Marie DisneyBound for a while and ever since getting my tattoo of her, the urge to do so increased significantly. I knew the weather at Disneyland Paris during June could be quite hot, so I planned around this and hoped that the weather would be on my side. It certainly was, I got very sun burnt. I had never DisneyBounded before so I had no idea where to begin with planning my outfit but I thought having some Mickey ears would be a good start.

Day One | Disneyland Paris June Trip Report

Sunday, 25 June 2017

Day one mainly consisted of traveling, our flight wasn't until 2pm so we had the morning to get ready! Which felt unusual as I when I travel anywhere recently we have to be up at the crack of dawn. The flight there started off absolutely fine, until I went to the toilet on the plane and noticed my false eyelash was coming off. As I attempted to poke it back down, my nail cut it in half and half of it disappeared behind my eye. For the majority of the flight I was running my finger around my eye trying to retrieve it and eventually it appeared. This then triggered a conversation with a man who was sat in front of me on the plane, asking if they do contact lenses for long sighted people.

Disneyland Paris Haul | June 2017

Tuesday, 20 June 2017

Once you've been to Disneyland Paris a few times, the merchandise becomes a bit repetitive. They definitely don't update it often, so I try not to go expecting to want to buy everything. However, on my last trip I decided to start collecting pins and you could say it was a bad idea. I've started being a lot more selective when buying Disney merchandise as I simply don't have the room for it all anymore but as pins are small and easy to store, I can justify buying them. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything I bought in this post because I have a feeling I did. Regardless, here is my haul from my most recent Disney trip!

My Fifth Visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter

Tuesday, 6 June 2017

I've been lucky enough to visit the Warner Brothers studio tour five times now and each time I grow to love it more. Harry Potter is something that I've always be passionate about and my love for it continues to grow. Being able to go behind the scenes of the films and see how they were made will always cease to amaze me. One of the reasons I decided to study film at university was down to my interest in the film industry and being able to see the amount of hard work that goes into bringing a film to life. Therefore, being able to visit the place where the magic of Harry Potter was brought to life is something I will never get tired of. I'll do my best to not include any spoilers throughout this post!

10 Things I Want to Experience at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Wednesday, 31 May 2017

I have currently been to Walt Disney World twice, once in 2010 and 2013, which was far too long ago. Both were amazing trips and I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to go but I miss it more and more every single day. A lot of changes have been made since both of my visits, one of the biggest ones being magic bands, I believe they were introduced in 2013 but after I had been. Before my recent trips my knowledge on the parks definitely was not as extensive as it is now, so I do feel there are things I missed out on due to not doing my research beforehand. There is still a lot that I am eager to experience at Walt Disney World's different parks, so I thought I'd start a new series on blog listing everything that I am hoping to experience at some point in the near future!

My Top 3 Tips For Making Mickey Mouse Ears

Tuesday, 23 May 2017

One of my most recent hobbies includes making Mickey Mouse ears, I am currently beginning the process of setting up my own Etsy store, which I will do a blogpost on when it happens! Ear making was something I have always wanted to try, last year I decided to pick up my mom's sewing kit and give it a go! I'm definitely no expert and the ears I make certainly are not perfect but it is something that I thoroughly enjoy doing, as it keeps my mind occupied. Plus there is nothing more rewarding than being sent pictures of your customers wearing the ears you have handmade at Disney parks! I've seen a lot more people give making ears a go, so I thought I'd leave you with a few tips on how to get started with making your own Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears. All of the ears pictured in this post are ears I have made!

My Thoughts on Beauty and the Beast

Tuesday, 4 April 2017

I know this post is incredibly late but since watching Beauty and the Beast I have been thinking about how to pile all of my thoughts into a post. I didn't want to write a formal review because I am terrible at writing them. I thought I'd attempt to discuss what and why I love the film. It has been no secret that I have been ridiculously excited for the release of this film since they announced that Emma Watson would be playing Belle. When you have been waiting to see something for so long you do begin to worry that it won't exceed your expectations but this film went above and beyond. I know there has been a ton of hate towards this film prior to its release, hate that I definitely don't remember seeing during the live action Cinderella's release but I'm not here to compare films. I hope you enjoy reading my completely incoherent thoughts on Beauty and the Beast.

The amazing thing about a film remake is yes, elements are going to be different. What what would be the point in remaking a film that already exists just to do a complete carbon copy of it? That is what I loved about the live action Beauty and the Beast, Disney were able to re-imagine a classic story and update elements of a well loved story.

My Most Memorable Experiences In Japan

Friday, 17 February 2017

It may have been a year and a half since my Japan trip but I still think about it every single day. It is a trip I will honestly never forget and I cannot wait to go back. I experienced so many incredible things while I was there and it was such an unforgettable experience but I thought I'd talk about three of my favourite experiences that I had during my time there! Every moment there was unforgettable but this post would be far too long if I spoke about all of them! My twin brother just recently found out he got a job to teach English in Japan, so it is time I started saving so I can afford to go and visit him. Plus I need to take into consideration everything I am definitely going to want to buy while I am there.

Top 5 Romantic Disney Scenes

Tuesday, 14 February 2017

Happy Valentine's Day! As it's the day to celebrate love and romance I thought I'd talk about my top five romantic Disney scenes. I personally love Valentine's Day, I know it is overrated but I love that everything is so pink this time of year. I also understand that you're supposed to show your loved ones that you appreciate them all year round but there is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating your love for each other that little bit more on Valentine's Day. However, no one does romance better than Disney, so only choosing five scenes was extremely difficult!

My Current Tsum Tsum Collection

Sunday, 12 February 2017

Tsum tsum are something that I never considered collecting, I had seen pictures of them when they were only being released in Japan and instantly knew I needed some of them. However, I did not think my collection would get quite as big as it has. If I have counted correctly then I currently have 143 tsum, that's over £429 spent on them... Which is ridiculous and thankfully is not all of my own money. When they were first released in Clintons I set out to go and buy one but ended up coming home with four, I should have known that from that moment on I wouldn't be able to stop buying them.

25 Facts About Disneyland Paris

Tuesday, 31 January 2017

Disneyland Paris is turning 25 this year and the anniversary is fast approaching. There's a lot of excitement revolving around the celebrations and I am so excited, I'm currently going through the process of trying to get a trip booked! I want to try and do a couple of posts all about the anniversary, so what better way to start than with some facts about Disneyland Paris!

My Go-To Night Out Make Up

Thursday, 26 January 2017

I've been wanting to start incorporating beauty into my blog for a while now but I have never been sure what it actually is I want to talk about. I've always wanted to post make up looks but never felt like they were anywhere near decent enough to put on my blog. I don't claim to be professionally talented at it, it is just something I enjoy doing. However, I've decided to give it a go. I'm still learning and getting to grips with make up, and how to photograph it well, but what better way to share my journey than on my blog? When I go on nights out I like to go all out on my make up, it means I get to play around with colour and experiment. I went out last Saturday and as I was doing my make up nothing seemed to be going as planned but I ended up falling in love with the finished look. I wasn't planning on doing a blog post on this look, as I didn't take the best pictures of my make up that night but here we go!

5 Things I Still Haven't Experienced at Disneyland Paris

Thursday, 19 January 2017

A few days ago Lizi published a blog post discussing 10 things she is yet to experience at Disneyland Paris! I loved reading it as we are always finding out about things people have done at Disney, it's interesting to see what they are yet to experience. This got me thinking about my past trips and what I've missed out on doing, or just simply haven't done for myself.  I like to believe that I have experienced a lot of what Disneyland Paris has to offer but this is definitely not the case.

Character Meet & Greet | Disneyland Paris Halloween Trip 2016

Thursday, 12 January 2017

Even though it has been well over three months since my Disneyland Paris trip, I still wanted to post something from this trip as I had such an incredible time. I hadn't been for the Halloween season since I was 8 years old, so I was excited to see how the park looked and experience Disney during one of my favouite seasons. However, throughout this trip I had a really blocked nose, So I was unable to taste or smell anything. I was devastated, as my favourite thing about Disney is how everywhere smells, especially the popcorn. However, to compensate I did have some amazing meet and greets! If you're anything like me and you love reading all about others meet and greets, then hopefully you'll enjoy this post.

Why I'm Looking Forward to the Live Action Beauty and the Beast

Tuesday, 10 January 2017

I honestly do not think I can contain my excitement for this film much longer, two years is definitely too long to wait! As more trailers, TV spots and audio clips are released from Beauty and the Beast, the more people I see criticising it. However, from the moment I heard that Emma Watson would be portraying Belle I was unbelievably excited. To bring some positivity to the live action film, I thought I'd talk about what I am excited to see and why I'm looking forward to it! The good thing about Disney doing live action remakes is that the original will still always be there. It's not going anywhere, you can still enjoy it even if you don't like the remake.
