The first time I visited Disney I was 8 years old in 2003 and I went to Disneyland Paris during Halloween with my family. I do actually remember some parts of the trip quite vividly and my dad took some pictures while we were there. As I have previously said, looking back at Disney photos is one of my favourite things to do, so I thought it'd be interesting to show you some of the pictures from my trip in 2003 and briefly talk about what I can remember from it! The picture below is of me and my twin brother.
Something I will always remember is watching the parade, they had a Treasure Planet float back then and Ben stopped on route to kiss me on the hand. It was such a cute moment and it is something I don't think I will ever forget. Meeting characters was a matter of beating the crowds, you didn't have to wait in line, you just had to deal with people pushing you out of the way to get to the front. At first I was awful at letting people just go in front of me because I wouldn't stand my ground, I soon learnt my lesson and wouldn't let anyone past me. I was able to meet what would be considered rare characters today.
Pizza Planet was there in 2003 and they sold Mickey shaped pizza. I remember my dad taking the picture of me holding it because I was wearing my Chip and Dale bobbles, which I wore every single day after buying them. I have also recently just had a full fringe cut in, so if I can buy those bobbles again I would definitely try to recreate some of the photos.
Another thing I also remember buying was pumpkin shaped Mickey Mouse marble bag, I kept the bag for such a long time after. Obviously, I lost all of the marbles that were in it. We still have the Christmas baubles we bought too, they go on our tree every year and have done since 2003. I don't think the queues were too bad when we went, that is one thing I honestly cannot remember too well.
I also bought a Tigger jumper on this trip and it still somehow fits me 13 years later.
How old were you when you first visited a Disney park?
