My Favourite Disney Character Meet & Greet Experienes

Sunday, 3 July 2016

When I first went to Florida back in 2010, I was not bothered about meeting the characters. I think it was because I was going through a time where I absolutely hated having my picture taken. I have barely any pictures of me from that trip, but I did still manage to take over 1000 pictures. Then when I went back in 2013 I wanted to meet as many of the characters as I could and I loved it. This was when I had bright red hair, I kept getting told I look like Ariel by the characters and cast members, which of course made me extremely happy. Looking back at Disney pictures is one of my favourite things to do, so meeting characters is definitely something I am focusing on a lot more now. It was hard to narrow it down but I have picked my favourite 4 character interactions that I have experienced.

Jack Skellington at Disneyland Paris  ♥
December 2015

Of course, I have to talk about meeting Jack Skellington first. The Nightmare Before Christmas is probably the film responsible for kick starting my love for Disney, I remember watching it when I was younger and instantly falling in love with it. When I went to Disneyland Paris when I was 8 it was Halloween time but Jack wasn't out doing meet and greets when I went back then. At least I don't think he was... My mom and dad went last year during the Halloween season and they were able to meet him, I was very jealous. When I found out that he'd be doing meet and greets in his Sandy Claws outfit during the Christmas period, I was ridiculously excited. We didn't have to wait long to meet him at all, we must have been stood in the queue for about 2 minutes. He spent ages talking to me, telling me that my Minnie bow is "strange and unusual." He spun me around to get a better look at me and was showing me the baubles on the Christmas tree. This is probably my favourite meet and greet that I have ever had.

Marie at Disneyland Paris  ♥
December 2015
Marie is one of my favourite Disney characters and I had been wanting to meet her for such a long time. When I went to Florida the queue to meet her was always really long and I don't think I could have stood in the heat for that long, as I wasn't quite used to it yet. The queue to meet her at Disneyland Paris wasn't long at all and it was such a fun meet and greet. She was playing around with the children in line and she even hit my bow off my head. I told her she was one of my favourite characters and she started jumping up and down with excitement, she also loved my bow because it looks like the one she usually wears. I'm not too happy with how the pictures turned out but hopefully I'll be able to meet her again.

Ariel at Tokyo DisneySea  ♥
July 2015
When my brother went to DisneySea in 2013, he sent me a picture of him meeting Ariel and I was extremely jealous. I knew it was something I needed to do when I went to the park, the queue to meet her was about an hour long. I was totally decked out in Little Mermaid themed clothing when I met her, obviously, and she loved it. This is still one of my favourite outfits that I have worn to date. For the first picture she told me to hold out my hand for Sebastian and then she told me to pose like a princess, I am so happy with how the Polaroid turned out. Unfortunately, I was only allowed to take a picture using one camera, so I used my Polaroid and bought the professional picture. This was such a magical moment for me, Ariel is my favourite princess and being able to meet her at Tokyo was such a dream come true. Waiting in the heat was definitely worth it!

Tiana & Naveen at Magic Kingdom  ♥
July 2013
I don't think I have ever fancied a face character as much I have Naveen, he is so handsome. This is still one of my most memorable character interactions to date, they were both so incredibly lovely. I'm sad that they won't be meeting together at Magic Kingdom anymore, as Tiana has moved in with the rest of the princesses. They both asked me where I was from and when I told them Tiana asked me what my favourite food is, she told me she loves jaffa cakes. She was very disappointed when I told her I didn't like them. I love Tiana's dress, the detail is incredible and she looks so beautiful. Tiana and Naveen bounce off of each other really well and if you have ever meet them, please tell me in the comments
