Top 4 Disney Attractions

Sunday, 14 February 2016

One of the best things about vising a Disney Park is definitely the attractions, especially when you manage to go on a quieter day and there are barely any queues, so I thought I'd do a blog post talking about mine! I even asked some of my family members what theirs are, so they will be included at the end as well as some familiar Disney YouTuber's answers! These are by no means in no particular order.

Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid

Of course this attraction would make it into my top 4, I was so excited when I found out that this would be open when for I last visited Florida and I also managed to avoided watching any videos of it online to not spoil it. I love this ride so much but one of my favourite things about it is the detail that has gone into Prince Eric's castle, which is actually where you queue while waiting for the ride. I took the picture above myself and it reminded me so much of the end of The Little Mermaid when Triton casts the rainbow over the boat, it looked beautiful. Even though I visited Florida during its peak time, there was never really a long queue for this ride because it is continuously moving, so you're on and off of it pretty quickly. I love that you have to sit in a pink clam shell as it actually makes you feel like you are actually going under the sea. I went on this ride so much that one of the cast members started to recognise me but I had to make the most out of going on the ride. You are emerged into the story of the film as you follow Ariel on her adventure and hear all of the classic songs, as you relive the magical moments that we have come to love from The Little Mermaid. Below is where the ride is situated:
Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland.
Disneyland Park's Disney California Adventure, Paradise Pier.

Mickey's PhilharMagic
I have been lucky enough to experience this attraction in both English and Japanese, being able to hear your favourite Disney songs in Japanese is incredible and definitely something I will never forget. If you want a break from the heat or even a quick sit down then I highly suggest going and watching PhilarMagic. It is a 12 minute 3D spectacular featuring Donald Duck and some of your favourite Disney characters, as Mickey Mouse is preparing for his concert Donald puts on Mickey's Sorcerer's hat and he plunges into the world of some of the animated Disney classic musical numbers, such as Part of Your World, Be Our Guest, A Whole New World, I Just Can't Wait To Be King and You Can Fly! Not only is the show 3D but you can also experience the smells and senses as you get splashed with water and can smell how amazing the cherry pie is that Belle holds out, which is one of my all time favourite smells. Depending on how busy the park is when you visit you shouldn't be waiting too long for this attraction because there are a ton of seats inside the concert hall. No matter how times I watch PhilarMagic I do not think I'll ever get bored of it, it is so magical and you can't help but smile the whole way through it. I highly suggest visiting this attraction, it is definitely worth your time and you won't regret it! Below is where the attraction is situated:
Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland.
Hong Kong Disneyland, Fantasyland.
Tokyo Disneyland, Fantasyland.

Peter Pan's Flight
I think it is safe to say that not only is this one of my favourite rides but also most of those who have had the opportunity to visit a Disney Park. One of the first things I would suggest doing when you visit a park that this ride is situated at is go straight to it, if the queue isn't long then I'd wait or if you can plan your fastpass. It is an extremely popular ride and it is not hard to see why, it really does portray the magic that Peter Pan has brought into the world. Since I last visited Disney World they have updated the queue and I have avoided looking at all pictures because I want it to be a surprise for when I next go, even though I have no idea when they that may be. For the duration of the ride you are seated in a ship and with some help from Tinkerbell and her pixie dust you are able to fly to Neverland! I think most people at some point has had a dream about flying off to Neverland to escape reality and for a short amount of time it feels like your dream has finally come true. Flying over London during this ride is probably one of the most magical moments you'll experience at Disney, in my opinion, you are able to see the cars moving in the streets below you and all of the detail that has been put into it is incredible, it really is breathtaking. This ride is situated at every Disney Park except for Hong Kong,
Disneyland Park, Fantasyland.
Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland.
Tokyo Disneyland, Fantasyland.
Disneyland Paris, Fantasyland.
Shanghai Disneyland Park, Fantasyland.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
The wildest ride in the wilderness had to make it into my top 4, even though the last two times I have visited it a Disney Park it hasn't been open! I know that they will be closing the ride in Magic Kingdom in April also to refurbish it, so pardon their pixie dust!  I'm not sure why I love this ride so much but I do, I'm all about rides that make your stomach jump and this one definitely does. If you're not a fan of roller coasters this one isn't too intense as you are only secured in by bar across your lap, so you won't be going upside at any rate. The landscape surrounding the ride is beautiful, as you're sat in a train it really does make you feel like you're flying through the wilderness with the rock formations and waterfall. One thing I do dislike about this ride though is the queuing, it isn't very well air conditioned so standing in the heat in Florida and Tokyo was not pleasant but the ride does kind of make up for it! I can't wait until I'm able to finally ride this ride again, I'm hoping it isn't closed next time I visit Disney! Below is where this ride is situated:
Disneyland Park (Anaheim), Frontierland.
Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Frontierland.
Tokyo Disneyland, Westernland.
Disneyland Paris, Frontierland.
